Workshops and Classes
Featured Artist Workshops
-
The founder of clayARTstudio, Marsha's inspired workshops offer new creative perspectives. Marsha's seasonal class offerings investigate ceramics through experimentation and unique material processes. Many projects connect to philisophical themes about humanity and nature.
Marsha offers both entry level and advanced workshops.
-
Our artist in residence program brings ceramic artists from all over California into our studio for inspiring workshops. Don't wait to register for these offerings as seating is limited.
Project Based Workshops
-
Our project based workshops lead you step by step to create your own one of a kind artwork. These multi-day projects can cover everything from simple dishes to functional lidded birdhouses.
These offerings are open to adult artists of all skill levels.
-
Our still life projects utilize many different methods to create unique sculptures. From life modeling to slip-casting, these classes guide you through different material processes to develop distinct clay working skills.
These more advanced workshops are intended for adult artists with some clay working experience.
Glazing and Finishing
-
The final sessions of each workshop take place after artworks have been bisque fired. Participants are invited to utilize clayARTstudio's extensive library of glazes.
We have a large selection of traditional glossy glazes, as well as a variety of unique textured finishes in our extensive glaze library.
-
Our workshops focus on clays and glazes that mature at cone 5 & 6 (~2200°f). These fired on finishes are durable and long lasting.
