In my mid-twenties I had a decision to make— put together my portfolio to try to apply for an MFA program, or take the graduate entrance exam and go for a Master’s of Science in some field. I chose Science school and went back to UC Davis to study plant pathology which led me to a job in agriculture for the last 10 years.

Suffice to say, I love biology and garden art! I also love dishes, especially bowls for dessert. So that’s what I’m making; cats, bugs, other animals, spirit houses and anything that can go in the garden.
